How to learn client application new commands

  1. On your phone, open remote control application and go to:
    • Preferences
    • Customize activities
    • Choose specialized activity (for example Television)
    • User panel editor
  2. If you have any commands defined, you can see a list of them, otherwise you will see empty activity.
    • Press option button
    • Choose Add
    You can edit/delete your current commands by long click on item and selection appropriate operation.
  3. Now you can see simple window.
    • Button label
      Simple text for button label. If you want to use special UTF characters use prefix \u and numeric code.
      I.e. if you want to use ↑ use \u2191.
      UTF codes are defined by font, but Android font doesn't have defined all codes. If code is not defined, you will see rectangular shape.
    • Command
      Command name defined in your XML file.
      I.e. MyFullScreenCommand from How to add unsupported application guide.
    • Row
      Simple way how to make order for your buttons.
    • Order in row
      Simple way how to make order for your buttons.
    If you make special command in your defined XML file and you want to share it.
    Please add into ZIP file simple txt file with small guide. Thank you.
  4. Now open your updated specialized activity (for example Television).
    Click on Show user panel button If you can't see Show user panel button, you have to enable it.
    • Preferences
    • Customize activities
    • Choose specialized activity (for example Television)
    • Panel Items
      Check User item (last one).
    You should see your defined button(s).
